PURPOSE:To separate PHBAase and Proase from culture medium, by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus and capable of producing PHBAase and Proase in a nutrient medium containing p-hydroxybenzoic acid. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Pseudomonas genus and capable of producing p-hydroxybenzoic acid hydroxylase (PHBAase) and protocatechuic acid 3,4-dioxygenase (Proase) is cultured in a nutrient medium containing p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and the PHBAase or Proase is separated from the cultured product. The enzyme can be produced efficiently at a low cost by this process. |
