PURPOSE:To eliminate painting inferiority by keeping the balance between the air supply amount and the air exhaust amount in a painting chamber, by controlling the supply amount of conditioned air to the painting chamber on the basis of the air flow velocity value thereof and controlling the exhaust amount on the basis of the current consumption amount of an exhaust fan. CONSTITUTION:When an article to be painted is coated with a paint, air conditioned to predetermined temp. and humidity is equally supplied to a painting chamber 3 from an air supply chamber 2 through a filter 5. At this time, the air flow velocity of conditioned air supplied to the painting chamber 3 is measured by the anemometer 22 provided to the lower part of the filter 5 and the measured value is inputted to a first controller 23 to drive an air supply fan 8 so as to obtain a predetermined air flow velocity value. On the other hand, the exhaust amount of exhaust air is measured as a current consumption amount in an exhaust side by the ammeter 28 connected to an exhaust fan 21 and this value is inputted to a second controller 26 and the exhaust fan 21 is driven so as to obtain a predetermined current value.
