PURPOSE:To attain sequential reading by separating a vertical scanning circuit from a reading output circuit in a vertical scanning/reading output circuit of a two- dimensional solid-state image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:The outputs V2-1, V1-1, V2-2 of the vertical scanning circuit 20 are inputted to the gate of a field effect transistor (FET) constituting the reading output circuit 21. When a reading pulse phiF is applied, reading outputs R2-1, R1-1, R2-2 are successively obtained. Since the vertical scanning circuit driving pulse can be separated from a reading output pulse, the tilted circuit can be driven by low voltage and a short pulse. |
