PURPOSE:To send air in the same direction as a natural wind, from an electric fan having a reversible motor, by providing an electric circuit for controlling the direction of the rotation of the motor depending on the output of a wind direction detector. CONSTITUTION:In an electric fan 1, the coil of a relay 1b is controlled depending on the output of a wind direction detector 2. When the potential of the output terminal A of an electric generator 2a is higher than that of its other output terminal B, electricity is applied to the relay coil to turn on a contact C to rotate the motor 1a of the fan 1 forward. When the potential of the output terminal A is lower than that of the other output terminal B, the application of the electricity to the relay coil is stopped to turn on a contact D to rotate the motor 1a backward. According to this constitution, air is sent from the electric fan 1 in the same direction of a natural wind blowing through the room in which the fan is placed, so that the apparent amount of the air sent by the fan is increased, energy is saved, the flow of the wind is promoted, and a natural cooling effect is produced. |
