PURPOSE:To prevent diffusivity of a plasticizer and to improve fixability and offset resistance by incorporating as a binder resin a copolymer of a vinyl monomer and a specified epoxy ester resin copolymerizable with it. CONSTITUTION:The present toner contains as a binder resin a copolymer composed of 100pts.wt. of units of a vinyl monomer, such as styrene, acrylate, or methacrylate, and 31-200pts.wt. of an epoxy ester resin having one or more ethylenically unsatd. double bonds copolymerizable with said resin. For example, this ester has a number average mol.wt. of 1,000-20,000, and it is prepared by radically copolymerizing unsatd. dicarboxylic acid-modified epi-bis type epoxy resin by aq. suspension polymn. or the like. The toner using a copolymer thus obtained as a binder resin causes no trouble, such as diffusion of plasticizers, even if it contacts with the surface of a plasticized PVC, and it has superior fixability and offset resistance. |
