PURPOSE:To use a power source in common and reduce the cost of a device by measuring the advance speed of an electrostatic recording process automatically and using an adequate voltage or current for it as the set value of a power source output. CONSTITUTION:Respective output terminals OUTC, OUTB, OUTT, and OUTD of a high-voltage power unit 200 are connected to a charger 2 for electrostatic charging, developing sleeve 3, transfer charger 4, and separating charger 5 at the circumference of a photosensitive drum 1. This power source 200 supplies electric power to respective electrodes at prescribed timing according to the indication from a copy process control unit 100. The CPU incorporated in the power unit 200 measures the linear speed of the photosensitive drum 1 from the counted values of pulses from a timing pulse generator which rotates together with the photosensitive drum 1, and calculates the set value of a voltage or current corresponding to the speed to output a proper voltage or current from the high-voltage power unit 200. Consequently, the power source is used in common and the cost is reduced. |
