PURPOSE:To prevent a water flow from being blocked due to corrosion by constructing a high power microwave electron tube comprising a high frequency circuit part including an electron gun part and a magnetic field focusing device, and a collector part such that it is cooled by water by passing a copper pipe around a magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:A high cavity coupling type travelling wave tube comprises an electron gun 1 which emits an electron beam, a high frequency circuit part 2 which interacts with said electron beam, and a collector part 3 for collecting said beam. The high frequency circuit part 2 includes magentic poles 5 and cavities 6 both also serving as a cavity partition wall and connected with each other longitudinally, and a high frequency circuit and a period permanent magnet focusing device formed by putting magnets in circumferential parts of the adjoining cavities 6. The magnetic pole 5 is formed into a water cooling structure by inserting cooing pipes 4 formed by copper pipes into gaps among the magnetic poles. Accordingly, formation of an oxide film on a cooling pipe passage wall, water leakage and water block due to corrosion can be prevented, allowing operation of the tube to be stabilized. |
