PURPOSE:To perform joining of coils to high strength by inserting a thin metallic film having a specific thickness between the butt end faces of coil materials and conducting electricity to the coil materials to melt the thin metallic film while pressing the end faces to each other. CONSTITUTION:A thin metallic film 2 having <=1.0mm. thickness is inserted between the butt end faces of coil materials 1, 1 and thereafter electricity is conducted to the materials 1, 1 while the end faces are pressed to each other. The film 2 is instantaneously melted and is pressed to the joint surfaces by the above-mentioned method and the insert metal 2 existing extremely thinly therebetween is securely joined to the materials 1, 1 on both sides by the pressure in the state approximate to diffusion joining. The materials 1, 1 are therefore securely joined and the accident such as coil breakage is surely prevented. |
