PURPOSE:To prevent uneven contact of electrodes by attaching freely movably an electrode and electrode holder via a deformable hermetic vessel filled therein with a liquid, etc. to a lower stand. CONSTITUTION:A liquid such as a liquid of fluid solid mater or the like is filled in a hermetic vessel 7. A lower electrode 6 and an electrode holder 8 provided in the lower part thereof are attached by means of bolts 9 to a lower stand 5 via the vessel 7. When an upper electrode 4 and the lower electrode 6 are pressurized by a cylinder 2, both electrodes 4 and 6 contact unevenly with each other for the beginning. As the pressurization progresses, the internal fluid of the vessel 7 moves and the vessel 7 is deformed, by which the uneven contact of the electrodes 4, 6 is prevented. Since a uniform face pressure acts on the bottom surface of the holder 8, the surface pressure of the electrodes 4, 6 is uniformly distributed. The quality of welding is thus improved. |
