Paraffin complexes, solid at 25 degrees C having a calorific reserve improved by association with inert solid materials contain 25-55 30-50 wt. % metals, their oxide or silicates the metals being gp. II or gp. III metals, pref. Mg or Al, Independently claimed are complexes contg. 2-15% MgO, 15.50% Al or Al2O3, esp. 23-46% Al2O3 or 18-38% Al. The complexes exhibit an improved calorific reserve and the coefft. of thermal conductivity is better controlled by addn. of very stable, anhydrous materials which are in normal use.
