PURPOSE:To shorten a treatment time of a wire rod by an inexpensive equipment by performing a finish descaling and a lubricating ground treatment successively in a state that an ultrasonic wave is added to a wire rod which has been roughly descaled mechanically, and subsequently, drawing a wire by performing a lubricating treatment. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod 8 to which a rough descaling has been performed mechanically and continuously is led into an acidic liquid 9 in a cylindrical treating tank 1 in which ultrasonic additional devices 2 are provided at intervals. In this state, the liquid 9 is stirred by irradiating an ultrasonic wave, and also the surface of the wire rod 8 is descaled quickly and completely by a cavitation action. Subsequently, in case of lubricating ground treatment, too, the surface treatment of the wire rod 8 is executed quickly by irradiating an ultrasonic wave in the lubricating ground treating liquid in the same way. Also, the lubricating treatment is executed to the wire rod 8, and thereafter, it is drawn and wound. In this way, the wire rod 8 can be drawn continuously in a short time by on-line, an adhesive strength of a lubricating film is improved, and a drawing material of a high quality is obtained at a low cost.
