PURPOSE:To decrease intrusion of air and gas in the stage of feeding a molten metal into a cavity by attaching a plunger sleeve to a die plate by inclining the top end thereof, pouring the molten metal into the sleeve from the low part thereof and advancing an injection plunger. CONSTITUTION:A plunger sleeve 26 is attached to a stationary die plate 12 by inclining the top end thereof in such a way as to rise by 3-5 deg.. A molten metal 21 is poured through a tapping pipe 23 and a nozzle 25 into the sleeve 26 from the bottom thereof. Since the top end of the sleeve 26 is inclined upward, air, etc. are escaped to the outside through runners 27, 28 and a cavity 29. When the molten metal 21 is filled in the sleeve 26, an injection plunger 30 is advanced to feed the molten metal 21 into the cavity 29. The intrusion of air is substantially obviated when the plunger 30 advances. The casting product having high strength and density without foam is thus obtd. |
