<p>PURPOSE:To obtain concentrated titled compound useful as a seasoning, etc., saving the energy consumption, by using an aqueous solution containing at least one amino acid and having a pH higher than any isoelectric point of the amino acid contained therein, and filtering the solution with a specific ultrafiltration membrane. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing at least one amino acid and having a pH higher than any isoelectric point of the amino acid contained therein is filtered with an ultrafiltration membrane having negative charge at the pH. The aqueous solution of amino acid can be concentrated by this method over a wide pH range saving the energy consimption, while separating the admixed low-molecular substances. The aqueous solution may contain one or more kinds of amino acids such s glutamic acid, glycine, etc. The method can be performed over a considerably wide pH range, and the amino acid can be separated only by pressing. Furthermore, the mutual separation of the amino acids and the removal of salt are possible.</p> |
