PURPOSE:To enhance the responsiveness of control by a method wherein the components of the respective impressed times corresponding to the components of the respective load forces developed in a piston are provided in a pulse signal used for position control. CONSTITUTION:A finite time width tn of a pulse signal to translate a piston 1d to either direction is set to a sum of a certain fixed fundamental time width tb, a correction time width proportional to the deviation Er between a command signal Cs and a detection signal cf and a time width ts against elasticity, which is proportional to the distance from the neutral position (n) to the position from the piston 1d to be translated. As a result, the piston 1d is always controlled to the propriate position every time the signal is issued, resulting in making the control of every one pulse to be always the control with usefulness and enabling to enhance the responsiveness of control.
