PURPOSE:To view a television image stereoscopically by displaying an image for the left eye and an image for the right eye alternately and repeatedly, and making liquid-crystal plates for the right eye and left eye opaque alternately synchronously with the display. CONSTITUTION:The image 2 for the left eye 6 and the image 2 for the right eye 7 are dislayed alternately. While the left-eye image 2 is displayed, the right- eye liquid-crystal plate 5 provided in front of the right eye 7 is made opaque to prevent the left-eye image 2 from entering the right eye 7. Further, while the right-eye image 3 is displayed, the left-eye liquid-crystal plate 4 provided in front of the left eye 6 is made opaque to inhibit the right-eye image 3 entering the left eye 6. |
