PURPOSE:To develop well-balanced damping characteristics in either cases of advancing and returning strokes by a method wherein a thermal expansion displacement compensating chamber is annexed to a cylinder so as to generate equal damping powers upon the advancing and returning strokes of a piston. CONSTITUTION:The piston 11 is mounted in the cylinder 10 to define the cylinder into oil chambers 12A, 12B. A high-pressure chamber 14 and a low-pressure chamber 15 are provided differently from the oil chambers 12A, 12B, both of them are connected through a choking section 13, the oil chambers 12A, 12B are provided with non-return valves 16A, 16B at the ends thereof so that only the oil from the oil chamber 12A flows into the high-pressure chamber 14 while the oil flows into the other oil chamber 12B from the low-pressure chamber 15 and, thus, the low-pressure chamber 15 is connected to the displacement compensating chamber 17. The oil at compression side acts on the displacement compensating chamber 17 after flowing through the choking section 13 in case the piston 11 is moved into either directions, therefore, the well-balanced damping characteristics may be obtained. |
