PURPOSE:To provide a titled cutting device for cutting efficiently two sheets of glass both having different breadthwise size by fixing a rotatable cutter shaft on a cutter head which can be freely driven leftward, rightward, forward, and backward, and moving the cutter shaft along the inner circumference of a framework with the detected signal of a proximity sensor to move periodically the framework in the breadthwise direction. CONSTITUTION:An air cylinder 44, for example, is actuated with the detected signal of a proximity sensor PR3, when a cutter shaft 1, starting from the position of a proximity sensor PR1 and passing a proximity sensor PR2, reaches the proximity sensor PR3. Consequently, a framework 21 is moved leftward by about 3mm. to press and move the shaft 1 along the inner circumference of the framework 21 by a specified distance. When the shaft reaches a sensor PR6, the cylinder is again actuated with the detected signal of the sensor PR6. Then the framework 21 is returned. Namely, the shaft 1 is moved along the inner circumference of the framework 21 to the starting position to make a cutting line on a glass plate G, and the inner plate is cut. The outer plate of the glass plates is cut by the same operation. Both cutting processes are carried out alternately and interrelatedly, and the glass plates both having different breadthwise sizes are cut.
