PURPOSE:To make replenishment sure and easy by opening downward an auxiliary toner box provided to the side wall of a copying machine body in addition to the main toner box provided to a developing machine as the remaining amt. of the toner in the main toner box decreases. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 4 for detecting the remaining amt. of a toner is attached in a main toner box 3 for replanishing a toner 9 from the upper part of a developing machine 2. When the decrease in the remaining amt. of the toner is detected by the sensor 4, the output thereof is amplified 5 and an indicator lamp 8 is lighted. A solenoid 19 is simultaneously energized. The energized solenoid 19 projects outward an auxiliary toner box 12 attached in the notch of the side wall 10 of a copying machine body by the cooperative operation of a plunger 20, a link mechanism 18 and a wire 17, thereby opening a cap 15. When the operator replenishes the toner into the box 12 and pushes back the toner box into the body, the toner is supplied into the box 3 through the route not shown. The toner is thus easily replenished and the interruption of copying is prevented. |
