Rigging consisting of the combination of a wishbone and a four-sided sail. The wishbone 1 is composed of a front portion composed of two bent tube elements 1a each extending from the head fixture 1b to an underframe 1c or three-way tube in the shape of a Y situated substantially halfway along the wishbone; the two oblique branches of the said underframe have the ends of curved tubes 1d and 1e fitted into them, connected respectively by fixtures 1f and 1g, making two semi-ellipses of radii corresponding to those of the front portion. The sail 2 comprises a fourth side 2a substantially parallel with the mast 3 connecting the clew point 4 of the trailing edge 2b of the sail to the clew point 5 of the edge 2c of the sail, which clew points are respectively connected to the fixtures 1f and 1g of the wishbone by separately controlled hoisting pulley blocks. <IMAGE>
