A fluorine-containing aminosulfonate of the general formula Rf-Q1-N(R1)-Q2-N(R2)-Q3-SO3M wherein Rf represents a perfluorinated aliphatic group having 3 to 16 carbon atoms; Q1 represents &lparstr& CH2 &rparstr& n in which h represents an integer of 1 to 6, &lparstr& CH2CH2Z &rparstr& i in which Z represents -O- or -S-, and i represents an integer of 1 to 4, or a combination of these; Q2 and Q3 are identical or different and each represents &lparstr& CH2 &rparstr& i in which j represents an integer of 1 to 6, in which R3 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an alkaline earth methal atom, or -N(H)m(R4)n in which R4 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and m and n represent 0 or an integer of 1 to 4 provided that m + n = 4; R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl or hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, -Q3SO3M in which Q3 and M are as defined, or &lparstr& CH2 &rparstr& k COOM in which M is as defined and k represents an integer of 1 to 4.
