The invention is based on a wheel of the above type, which has, on the two sides of its wheel disc, releasable rim rings for receiving the tyre beads. In order to obtain a vehicle wheel which can be matched to tyres of different diameters, the wheel disc is constructed for the attachment and securing of rim rings of different diameters, which rings are connected to the wheel disc in a positively engaging fashion and, together with the wheel disc, are of symmetrical design with respect to the central plane determined by the wheel. Preferably, the bead seating faces for the tyre are arranged on the inner circumference of the rim rings.
