PURPOSE:To enable to manufacture an annular fluorescent lamp by means of a horizontal system by providing a chuck for holding the end of a bulb and a working head slidably attached to a supporting bed of the head so as to coaxially receive an exhaust tube which is obliquely introduced from the end of the bulb toward the axis of the bulb. CONSTITUTION:When the supporting bed 12 of a head comes to a given position for supplying a bulb, a chuck 13 and a burner plate 15 are opened and a working head 14 is lowered to the lowest position by means of cam driving and so on from outward, and the end of a straight tube type bulb 9 is held by the chuck 13, and the burner plate 15 is closed, and burner nozzles 27, 27 come close to the root of an exhaust tube 10. Next, the working head 14 is raised by spring force of a spring 20 to be fitted to the tip of the exhaust tube 10. Subsequently, a cap 22 receives rotation force by a lever 23 and is clamped to a head body 19, whereby a sealing material 21 is pressingly brought in contact with the exhaust tube 10 to have the seal of a working space 24, carried out. |
