PURPOSE:To raise the primary pressure in a crank chamber, substantially, by confronting a pressure chamber in a subcylinder assembly to a scavenging passage. CONSTITUTION:In a two cycle engine 1, a mixture is sucked into a crank chamber 9 from an intake port 12 in association with the raise of a main piston 7. Further, a subpiston 15 lowers in synchronizm with the motion of the main piston 7 to introduce the mixture into a pressure chamber 18 from the crank chamber 9. When the main piston 7 lowers so that the inside of the crank chamber 9 is compressed, the mixture in the crank chamber 9 is transferred under pressure into a combustion chamber 11 through a scavenging passage 10, and simultaneously, the subpiston 15 ascends to discharge the mixture in the pressure chamber 18 into the scavenging passage 10. |
