<p>PURPOSE:To make a gas manufacturing apparatus small-sized and to increase purification efficiency by providing a single cylindrical rotatable adsorption/desorption tower having plural compartments, a stationary plenum which is provided to one end of said tower facing thereto, a recovering apparatus of mechanical power and a suction pump. CONSTITUTION:A network structure 5a or a supporting structure of an adsorbent is provided to the bottom of a single cylindrical rotatable adsorption/desorption tower 5 wherein the adsorbent is packed in compartments 1-4 and gaseous starting material is introduced to partitioned chambers 6, 7 by being pressurized with a compressor 16 for the gaseous starting material. When gas rises inside the compartments 4, 2, the specified gas is adsorbed and gaseous product (g) is taken out from a discharge pipe 17. Partitioned chambers 8-11 are provided to a stationary plenum which is provided to the upper part of the tower and the partitioned chambers 8, 10 are a chamber for a desorption process where the adsorbent is regenerated with a suction pump 12. After having finished the adsorption process, the high pressure compartments 4, 2 are joined with the low pressure compartments 1, 3 and an expansion turbine is actuated to equalize pressure. Thereafter, the adsorption/desorption tower is rotated to change over the compartments.</p> |
