METHOD OF SUPPLYING AIR INTO INTERNAL-COMBUSTION ENGINE AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To enhance the combustion efficiency of fuel to aim at reducing the fuel consumption of an engine, by supplying air into an oxygen enrichment device upon low load operation while air is directly introduced into the engine as it is in the normal condition. CONSTITUTION:Upon low load operation a throttle valve 4 is narrowed so that air fed from an air blower 2 and cleaned through an air-cleaner is introduced into an oxygen enrichment device 1 which supplys rich oxygen air 9. Upon high load operation the throttle valve 4 is opened to utilize air from the air supply system of the main system. At this time the drive of the air blower 2 is not always required, and it is optional to open the air blower 2 or form an air supply port 6 at an arbitrary position between the air blower 2 and the air cleaner 3.
