PURPOSE:To reduce the abrasion and breakage of knife edges by installing a slidable wearing member between the pressing surfaces of the upper and lower knife edges and a steel material. CONSTITUTION:Pressing parts which are pressed onto the surface of a material 11 in the final period in cutting are formed at the basic parts 12d and 13d of one-sided inclined surfaces of a pair of knife edges 12 and 13 whose share points are opposed, keeping the material 11 interposed. Onto said pressed parts, a pluraility of rollers 15 are installed as one example of a slidable wearing member which is interposed between the surfaces 12d and 13d and the steel member 11. The interval (h) between the peripheral surface of the roller and the steel member 11 is set so as to be a little smaller than 1/2 of the thickness of the steel member 11, and the generating of wearing-out and breakage of the knife edge is prevented by the installation of the rollers. |
