In the case of a composite glass pane (1) in the thermoplastic intermediate layer (4) of which a wire (6), for example an aerial wire or a heating wire, is arranged, which wire is connected to a connecting cable (9), the connecting point (10) between the wire (6) and the connecting cable (9) is arranged within a marginal cutout (12) of the thermoplastic intermediate layer (4). The connection between the end section of the wire (6) and the connecting cable (9) is produced outside the composite glass pane (1) by soldering. The connecting point (10) is inserted into the slit-shaped cavity formed by the marginal cutout (12) and the cavity is filled with a pourable synthetic resin composition (15).
