PURPOSE:To attain control a control item of an image transmission terminal device without any limitation of the range by using each control command for control start and control end corresponding to an operator input of an image receiving terminal device. CONSTITUTION:A video signal outputted from a television camera 5 at the image transmission terminal device B is amplified by an amplifier circuit 42 to a prescribed level, outputted to a video transmission line 8 via a line terminating circuit 41 and transmitted to the image receiving terminal device. On the other hand, the image receiving terminal device A receives the video signal transmitted via the video transmission line 8 from the image transmission terminal device B, a clamp circuit 12 reproduces the DC component, outputs it to an image reception monitor 2 and the video image picked up by the television camera is reproduced and displayed. An operating device interface circuit 13 of an image receiving terminal control section 1 supervises the depressing state of each control button of an operating device 3 at each control button, detects the timing of the depression start and depression end and inputs the result to a control command forming circuit 14. The control command forming circuit 14 forms the control command predetermined in response to each timing input and is transmitted to a control transmission line 9 via a line terminating circuit 11. The image transmission terminal device B decodes the control command fed from the image receiving terminal device A and performs the designated control.
