The invention relates to production of monodisperse droplets from liquids (melts). The apparatus comprises a housing (2) with outlet orifices (2d) constructed at various levels, a connection piece (3) for feeding the liquid (5) into the cavity (2a) of the container (2), a liquid distributor (4), a pressurised-gas source (15), a connection piece (6) for the infeed of the gas and a gas distributor (7). The orifices (7b) of the gas distributor (7) are situated above, and the orifices (4d) are situated below, the upper orifices (2d) of the vessel (2). The liquid (5) is introduced into the vessel (2) by means of a constant gas excess pressure being generated above the surface of the liquid. Flowing from the vessel (2) are thread-like streams (5b) of the liquid (5), which are then atomised, spontaneously or under the influence of superimposed interference, into droplets (5c). The liquid feed is controlled as a function of the required throughput in such a way that the liquid level in the vessel (2) will be between the uppermost and lowermost orifices (2d).
