MAGNETIC HEAD DRIVING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To attain the application of a power supply having a comparatively low level of supply voltage by connecting an end of an erasion coil to the power supply and also connecting the center cap of a write/read coil to the power supply via a boosting circuit. CONSTITUTION:An erasion gate EG is connected to the end of the other side of an erasion coil 7 via an inverter 9 and a diode 10. Therefore a current flows from a power supply +5V via the coil 7 after the gate EG is turned on, and an erasion magnetic field is produced from an erasion gap to perform a desired tunnel erasing function. A write/read coil 6 has a center tap 6a, and +12V boosted by a boosting circuit is supplied to the tap 6a from the power supply +5V via a PNP transistor TR11. The base of the TR11 is connected to the collector via a resistance 12 and then to the output terminal of an OR circuit 15 via a resistance 13 and an inverter 14.
