PURPOSE:To retrieve the picture data easily and quickly by providing an index recording area and a flag recording area where a flag showing a retrieved state to a register file. CONSTITUTION:When the image data registered to a register file 22 are retrieved an bloc, the account numbers printed magnetically to checks are read every sheet by a reader. The account numbers are totally recorded to a floppy disk and then read collectively to be sent to the file 22 and stored in a retrieval index area 22a. Then a retrieval command button on a keyboard 34, and the account number is converted into a command within a control part 30a. Then the account number is checked and selected within the youngest OFF area 22a for the flags of account numbers within a flag area 22b. The corresponding account number of an index file 21a is checked through an image area 21b, and this image data is transferred to a retrieving device 3. When a collating process is over, a retrieval indication button is pushed to display the picture data to a CRT32. |
