CLAD MATERIAL FOR SPECTACLE FRAME

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a fine clad material having superior workability by interposing an intermediate material of Ni or an Ni alloy when a clad material for spectable frames consisting of a base material of Ti and a surface material of Au is manufactured. CONSTITUTION:A base material 12 of Ti is successively clad with an intermediate material 13 of an Ni alloy contg. >86% Ni or pure Ni and a surface material 14 of Au or an Au alloy to obtain a three-layered clad material 11 for spectable frames. This material 11 is worked into spectale frames. The intermediate material 13 acts as a buffer to improve the workability of the clad material as a whole and to prevent cracking in a working stage. Spectacle frames which are light in weight owing to Ti and have a fine appearance owing to Au can be manufactured.
