PURPOSE:To simplify the operation by a method wherein foods desired to be measured are selected setting the position of foods or pictures thereof on a panel to perform a digital display the weight of the foods and nutritive values such as calorific value and ingredients thereof in the weight. CONSTITUTION:A weighing mechanism section provided inside a base is connected to a pan. The weighing mechanism section is placed on the pan and converts the weight to variations in a coil spring, a plate spring and the like, which are connected a electrostatic type sensor 6 or the like, for example, composed of two parallel flat plates 5 and then, to a microcomputer 7. A display section 8 receives an output from the microcomputer 7 and displays the weight values, calorific values, ingredient values and the like digitally with operation buttons 9, ON, MR, M<+> and CM.
