PURPOSE:To provide forgeability by adding specified amounts of C, Cr, Si, Mn and Mo to Fe. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a material for forging is composed of, by weight, 1.6-3.2% C, 15-25% Cr, 3-5% Si, 0.5-1% Mn, 0-4% Mo and the balance Fe with impurities such as P, S and Cu. Forgeability is enabled by adding Si.
