摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to clearly discriminate the positios of a flaw in X, Y and Z directions and the mutual relative positions of plural flaws, by inserting the dummy bottom surface echo of a body to be inspected into oblique angle flaw detection data to synthesize a bottom surface image and displaying said image as a stereoscopic image. CONSTITUTION:The flaw detection signal 3 obtained with respect to a body 2 to be inspected by a probe 1 is sent to a flaw echo detection circuit 25 through an ultrasonic flaw detector 7 and, when no flaw echo is generated, a dummy bottom surface echo signal 26 is sent to an adder circuit 17. When the flaw echo is generated, the operation of a dummy bottom surface echo generation circuit 24 is stopped while a flaw detection signal 29 is sent to a first wave shaping circuit 16 and a first wave flaw signal 17 is sent to an adder circuit 27. On the other hand, X, Y position signals 6 of the probe 1 from a probe driving mechanism 5 are converted to deflection signals by a deflection circuit 13. These signals as well as route and brightness data in buffer memory 12 are sent to a coordinates converter circuit 11 and displayed by a display apparatus 15 through image memory 14.
