PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive suitable for use in bonding a chloride (oxygen)- contg. arom. polymer with a polyolefin to form a laminate, consisting of a modified polyolefin obtd. by graft-copolymerizing a specified organosilicon compd. onto a polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:An organosilicon compd. contg. a group having an olefinically unsaturated bond and a hydrolyzable org. group (e.g. vinyltrialkoxysilane) is used. A polyolefin (A) is dissolved in a quantity of 10-500g/l in a solvent such as benzene and said organosilicon compd. (B) is added thereto. While vigorusly stirring, the compd. B is graft-copolymerized onto the polyolefin A in the presence of a radical polymn. initiator at 50-200 deg.C for 0.5-24hr. The quantity of the organosilicon compd. is pref. 0.1-50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. modified polyolefin formed.
