PURPOSE:To retrieve the optional data out of the information recorded to a PCM disk having a fixed linear speed in accordance with the address information, by defining a specific one bit of 16 bits forming a word as an address recognition bit. CONSTITUTION:An address area of four words is provided for each fixed capaccity of continuous data, and the forwarding one bit of 16 bits (equal to one word) is defined as an address recognition bit ''1''. For instance, the address recognition bits of the address and data areas are set ''1'' and ''0'' respectively. Thus it is possible to monitor the address recognition bit and to recognize the address area in an address retrieving mode. The recordable data capacity of the data area is equal to the capacity of 15 words in an area equivalent to 16 words. The address area uses 19 bits as the address value. A cyclic code of 11 bits is added for protection of address and recorded twice repetitively to obtain 60 bits in all. |
