A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support having coated thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material contains a cyan dye forming coupler represented by the following general formula (1):
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="31" wi="85" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein R<Sub>1</Sub> represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; R<Sub>2</Sub>, R<Sub>3</Sub>, R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub>, , which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl ) group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylthio group, a substituted or unsubstituted acylamino group, a substituted or unsubstituted sulfonamido group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted arylcarbonyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted carbonyl group or a nitrile group, or R<Sub>2</Sub> and R<Sub>3</Sub> or R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> may together represent an alkylidene group, R<Sub>2</Sub>, R<Sub>3</Sub>, R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> may combine each other to form a ring, three or more of R<Sub>2</Sub>, R<Sub>3</Sub>, R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> are not hydrogen atom at the same time and when two of R<Sub>2</Sub>, R<Sub>3</Sub>, R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> are hydrogen atoms at the same time, R<Sub>2</Sub>, R<Sub>3</Sub>, R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> combine each other to form a ring or R<Sub>2</Sub> and R<Sub>3</Sub> or R<Sub>4</Sub> and R<Sub>5</Sub> are hydrogen atoms; X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released upon an oxidative coupling with a developing agent; and n represents 0 or 1.

The cyan dye forming coupler can provide a cyan color image having excellent fastness to light and heat and have good solubility in an organic solvent having a high boiling point.
