<p>A product (2) to be packaged is placed into a container (3) made of a flexible, heat-shrinkable material, and an insulating gas is injected into the container until it is at least partially inflated whereby the container walls are detached from the contained product. The container material is heated with an external source of heat (1) to induce heat-shrinking thereof, and insulating gas is removed from the container interior and the container is sealed tight.</p> |
