PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for control procedure by inhibiting the transmission of a transmission subscriber identification by setting a facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:A non-standard equipment signal NSF is used to a device G3 of a facsimile equipment according to a CCITT recommendation T30 to perform the mutual communication with a receiver of the remote side. When a non-standard equipment setting signal NSS containing the device identification information ID is transmitted instead of a transmission subscriber identification signal TS1. In case no signal NSF is detected and a digital identification signal DIS is detected instead, the signal TS1 and a digital instruction signal DCS are transmitted. Furthermore the information ID bit is added into the signal NSF to attain the permission and inhibition for setting of transmission of a called subscriber identification signal CSI. This can reduce the time for control procedure and ensure the effective transmission of information.
