PURPOSE:To enable quick measurement without error in inputting, by providing a memory section and a computing section. CONSTITUTION:Relationship of the coefficient of viscosity, density and the like with respect to various temperatures are memorized into a ROM19 about several liquid media. As preparation prior to measurement, the type and temperature of a liquid medium is inputted into a CPU18 to set conditions for the computation of particle sizes by automatically retrieving the coefficient of viscosity, density or the like corresponding to them. The type of the liquid medium is inputted with an operation switch 21 while the temperature thereof is automatically inputted with a temperature measuring body 14, a temperature measuring circuit 15 and an A/D converter 16. Then, upon the inputting of a measuring start instruction with the switch 21, a signal is sent to a driver 12 from an I/O port 8 by an instruction from the CPU18 to stop a circulation pump 11 and particles begin to settle in a suspension 2 within a sample cell 1. In this manner, the particle sizes and the ratio of particles having respective sizes are displayed and thus, quick measurement without error in inputting. |
