PURPOSE:To make it possible to convey an article to be conveyed while the article is fed at a fixed speed or accelerated relative to the speed of a conveyor chain, and is well to enable the article to be stored in a storage, by constituting the conveyor chain with article carrier rollers, a guide rail therefor, chain moving rollers and a guide rail therefor. CONSTITUTION:First rollers 2 roll on a first guide rail G1, and second rollers 3 roll on a second guide rail G2. A carrier roller 4 for supporting an article W to be conveyed is loosely fitted onto each roller 2, concentrically therewith. The article W which is arranged on shifting rollers 4, bridging between conveyor chains 1, 1 are moved by means of shifting rollers 4 which are moved accompanied with the first rollers 2 rolling on the first guide rail G1 due to the friction therebetween. Meanwhile, the second rollers 3 also roll on the second guide rail G2. At this time by suitably selecting the ratio of diameters of both shifting rollers 4 and the first rollers 2, an arbitrary shifting speed may be set relative to the chain speed. |
