PURPOSE:To ensure the effective program setting by transferring data to a main operation board via a program writing device for a system program which is proper to a single system. CONSTITUTION:A program writing device 21 contains a ROM23, a RAM24, a program key 25, a program display part 26, a program interface 27 and a data MODEM28 centering on a CPU22. This device 21 is connected to a transmission line 8 via the MODEM28 and is also portable. Then the device 21 transfers data successively to a main operation board 1 for system programs characteristic to each terminal 6 such as a sound synthesization data register program which registers the sound synthesization data on the proper name of an optional terminal equipment 6 to the board 1, the coupling control program which performs a control action in response to the sensor outputs collected via the terminal equipment 6, etc. Thus the program setting is performed.
