PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of side-guide position detector thus to reduce the cost by detecting the position of side-guide optically. CONSTITUTION:A board 5 for controlling the motion of side-guide 4 is secured to one end of side-guide 4 of paper tray to make slits A-F with correspondence to the paper size thus to detect passage through said slits A-F optically by means of photo-interruptors 6, 7 and to detect position of side-guide 4. Consequently, the structure is simplified resulting in considerable reduction of manufacturing cost when compared with conventional position detector employing a microswitch. |
