PURPOSE:To enable formation of an image with a low voltage without requiring corona electrification and to obtain repeatedly a sharp image by using a photosensitive layer having no dielectric layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 4 consists of a transparent base 1, a transparent conductive layer 2 and a photosemiconductor layer 3. The layer 2 is applied with a voltage by an electric power source 15. The layer 3 of the body 4 is in contact with a liquid developer 5 used for electrophotography including toner and is irradiated with light from the transparent body 1 side within the range of a broken line. Only the part irradiated with the light is developed and an image 7 by a toner is formed on the body 4. The toner does not stick to the other part. Since this state continues even after the irradiation of the light, the image density increases owing to an increase in the developing time. The further higher polarity having the same polarity as the polarity of the power source 15 is supplied to a transfer roller 9 from a power source 10. The body 4 completed of the transfer is irradiated with weak light from a light source 12 and is immediately destaticized by a destaticizer 11 to the reversed polarity from the polarity of the earth potential or the power source 15. |
