PURPOSE:To easily and quickly select and designate a desired cassette by providing means for detecting classifications of the respective holding sheet cassettes and a display portion for displaying the detected classification of the cassette corresponding to the respective sheet cassette holding positions. CONSTITUTION:An automatic cassette supply apparatus 4 placed by the side of a main machine on sheet cassette insertion port 2 side includes cassette storing portions 111-115 disposed in a cassette storing box 10, wherein a classification of size of stored sheets in each cassette C1-C5 inserted and stored in each stage of cassette storing portion is detected by cassette classification detecting means (micro-switch MS1-MS3), and which cassette storing portion 111-115 to insert the cassette and which size of sheet to be stored in the inserted cassette are memoried in a control circuit and dislayed on a display portion of a console panel 13. Accordingly, the position and classification of a cassette can be visually confirmed at a look to select and designate a cassette esily and quickly. |
