PURPOSE:To measure the package string length accurately by incorporating a constant length function in a yarn clearer and counting the pulses only when the string is travelling over a slab catcher to measure the string length. CONSTITUTION:When a string is travelling over a slab catcher 10, a comparator 11 with produce a slab existing signal if the string size signal exceeds over the setting level to cut the string through an amplifier 12 and a relay 13 thus to stop the machine table. While the signal from the slab catcher 10 is provided as a string travel signal to AND gate 14. A sensor 15 provided on the delivery roller 8 of string travel roller will provide string length pulses through an amplifier 16 to AND gate 14 as it rotates, and if a string travel signal has been inputted, it is outputted to a counter 17 and upon reaching to predetermined count, a full- wind stop circuit 23 composed of a relay 18 and a contact 19 is operated to stop the machine table. In such a manner, the string length can be measured accurately without requiring a space for arranging a detector. |
