Oxadiazole compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein X is sulfur or oxygen; Y is sulfur or oxygen; R1 is methyl, ethyl isopropyl or cyclopropyl; and R2 is ethyl or isopropyl, provided that when R1 is methyl or ethyl, R2 is not ethyl, are effective as corn root worm insecticides.
