PURPOSE:To contrive the effective utilization of a unrecorded remainder which have been discarded in the past by comparing said unrecorded remainder with an information volume of a recording part and controlling a roll-like recording medium in such a way that if the unrecorded remainder is larger than the information volume, recording is continued and if the unrecorded remainder is smaller, a command is waited for, when the unrecorded remainder of said medium has reached a prearranged level. CONSTITUTION:In an information recording device which memorizes recording information in a recording part 2 and then records the information being read into a roll-like recording medium 3, a control part 6 compares an unrecorded information volume in a recording part 2 with an unrecorded remainder of the recording medium when an unrecorded remainder detector 5 has detected that the unrecorded remainder of the roll-like recording medium 3 reached a prearranged value, and continues recording if the unrecorded information volume is smaller than the unrecorded remainder and notifies an operating part 7 to this effect, if the former is larger, and waits for a command. |
