The invention refers to a clamp device comprised of at least one thinly walled shell, which forms an axially running restraining wall in a ring-shaped chamber (7) designed in order to supply a fluid with high pressure with the purpose of essentially elastically deforming the shell in a radial direction for fixed clamping around a cylindrical surface. The shell is composed of an extremely thinly walled part (14a) located nearest the chamber (7) and one against the inside of its closely lying thicker walled part (14b), whose back-spring when unloaded of the pressure is sufficient for it to press back the areas against the thinly walled part (14a), which is subjected to plastic, lingering deformation.<IMAGE> |
